Is my piece of writing really that good?

14 means you're either in 8th grade or a freshman in high school. Depending on what courses you've taken previously, this could be considered really good writing for an average student or average writing for a really good student. You do have a flair for capturing the scene and if this is not an isolated example of your literary talents, then you should pursue higher level English and literature courses in high school. Also definitely take creative writing!
