If you were in Fla as a full time college student, you would be able to do as you are proposing but the way it is, No, you cannot do what you are proposing. If you did, and got into an accident, your insurance company would not cover it. If you move, you will have to insure it on your own because you will be the principal driver. The titled owner of the car and where they live has nothing to do with it. If I owned the car, you would still have to insure, license, register it and have a drivers license from the state you lived in.
