How to link the July 20th Plot to Canada?

It wasn't really linked with Canada at all. By that time in the war the Allies had stopped trying to inate Hitler because he was such a bad strategist they didn't want anyone with the ability to actually command the German Armed Forces to take over. Why not write about how the Battle of Vimy Ridge in WWI was the first time the Canadian Corps fought as a unit under its own command and was the first real unifying experience for Canadians from coast to coast. Or about how the Dieppe raid in 1942 (which was a disaster) affected morale in Canada and amongst the soldiers
