Why is OJ bad, and why is it offensive to call a baby OJ like in bruno?

OJ was accused of killing his wife. The jury found him not guilty because his attorneys really got him out of the crime. Everyone knows he did it, and so does he. Read more about it. Also, he did an armed robbery against these people who had bought his sports memorabilia in his attempt to steal by force to get it back. he is know is jail. when bruno is holding the black baby and they ask what's his name and he says OJ, they get offended because the baby is black, and so was OJ, and OJ used to be a big deal among the black community- an idol. but know he is a disgrace. so that's why they all got offended.
